For their newly created Digital Product Innovation Team, the global player looking for Freelance Expert in Business Development for Digital within the Pharma space to support our team’s mission to change the way the physical and digital world interacts within the healthcare system.
You’ll be working along a team of driven digital and health tech experts. This is a remote position for freelancers located in Europe and will require regular travel to Olten, Switzerland, and customers across Europe. We’re looking for a freelancer willing to commit between 12 and 25 hours/week.

🧑🚀 Your challenge
- You develop and co-execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on the Pharma sector, especially in Traceability Solutions for Pharma Supply Chain and digital solutions in therapeutic areas like Parkinson’s, Oncology, and Respiratory.
- You forge strong relationships with key Pharma industry stakeholders, particularly in manufacturing and supply chain automation (digital teams and franchise may also be helpful).
- You understand and address the unique digital needs of Pharma customers, focusing on solutions like supply chain traceability and disease management.
- You collaborate closely with the Global Key Account Management and Sales teams to identify and engage with high-potential accounts in the Pharma industry.
- You collaborate closely with the Gerresheimer Digital Hub to identify potential business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships to support go-to-market strategies for Gerresheimer’s digital product portfolio.
- You facilitate introductions and meetings between key Pharma stakeholders and the Gerresheimer teams to drive business opportunities to generate leads (i.e. “open new doors”).
- You tailor sales and marketing initiatives for the Pharma sector, ensuring alignment with broader company strategies and goals.
- You gain an understanding of competitive activities, positioning, and pricing.
- You prepare speeches to be held by Gerresheimer colleagues on conferences.
🔎 Your profile
- Substantial experience in business development or sales, with a focus on the pharmaceutical industry, digital solutions for supply chains and/or production automation
- Proven experience in interacting with Pharma and understanding their digital transformation needs
- Ideally you have existing relationships with manufacturing and supply chain automation units, franchises, and digital teams of Pharma
- Excellent networking skills and creativity in finding ways to access the right stakeholders
- Successful track record of building and growing new business
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-starting teammate with a problem-solving attitude and structured approach to working in complex, fast-changing environments
- Willingness to travel as required
- Strong communication skills in English (Fluent German language skills are a plus)
